Our Motto: Praxis Collaborative provides affordable, democratically managed housing to individuals and families involved in social justice movement building.

Governance: The house is managed by all members at bi-monthly meetings according to radical consensus. (Simple majority vote except if a member blocks, which automatically vetoes any proposal. Any member can block any proposal.) Management is in accordance with policies set by the board of directors, which may consist of a mix of members and/or non-members from the community dedicated to our mission.

Equity Structure: Zero equity, i.e. group equity. Neither members nor the organization build equity in the property, which is rented from a local nonprofit organization.

Established: 2017

What makes us unique:

Historic building with character, which houses several other community organizations. Very convenient to the Lawrence Red Line CTA stop.
